How about some Country Music news to go with your favorite tune…

One of my favorite entertainers is Garth Brooks. I have been a fan for a long time. My all time favorite Garth Brooks song is “The Dance”. I know if you know country music you know Garth Brooks.  CMT just released news that he is going to play a invitation COUNTRY MUSIConly show at the most famous place in Nashville, The Ryman Auditorium. In addition, I understand that on September 8th he is going to launch his new Sirius XM radio show. It will be called “The Garth Channel” on channel 55. He will be playing his invitation-only show for his SiriusXM listeners. “Just the thought of playing the Ryman is crazy,” said Garth Brooks. “The fact that SiriusXM is going to capture the evening makes it even a bigger event for me.”   Wish I had tickets!  If you are also a Garth Brooks fan, Go Here to add to your music library at the best prices and best selections….

More Country Music Headliners….

Steven Tyler, the Aerosmith frontman who’s still finding his way in country music, found the golden door this week as his We’re All Somebody From Somewhere debutsCOUNTRY MUSIC at No. 1 on Billboard’s country albums chart. It reaches that eminence on first-week sales of 16,771 units, according to the tally masters at Nielsen SoundScan. The lead singer of popular rock band Aerosmith with hits like “Dream On” and “Walk This Way,” Steven Tyler has also served as a judge on American Idol.

In April 2015, Tyler made a surprise appearance at the Grand Ole Opry to announce the release of his upcoming debut solo country album. The first single from the record, “Love Is Your Name,” arrived later that May but it took over a year for the full-length We’re All Somebody from Somewhere to appear.

The Band Perry to perform at the 2016 Olympic Games….

The Fans Perry might get a pretty good idea of what the next Band Perry sound will be by the time the group arrives at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Through a series of social media posts, the sibling trio dubbed Monday (Aug. 1) its official comeback day and a big announcement from Nashville is expected that evening.

Their summer tour continues Saturday (July 30) in Cold Spring, Minnesota. Then it’s back to Nashville for Monday’s (Aug. 1) announcement and off to Rio where “Live Forever” is the official song of Team U.S.A.

The 2016 Olympiad will be the Band Perry’s first visit to the Olympic games.

The success attained by the legendary George Strait has been virtually endless, and rightfully so. Affectionately known as the “King of Country,” Strait’s legacy is one thatCOUNTRY MUSIC will be tough to top. As a result, his long-running reign over the genre has resulted in insurmountable accomplishments that include numerous CMA Entertainer of the Year honors, a record-setting number of chart-topping albums and songs, induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and he has been certified as one of the best-selling artists in the history of American music. In addition, Strait opened up the next phase of his career in September 2015, when he announced a residency at the new Las Vegas Arena in 2016 along with the surprise release of a new album called Cold Beer Conversation.

LUKE BRYAN’S CHICAGO DREAM HAS COME TRUE!!

It’s official. After Saturday (Aug. 27), the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Blackhawks all have something new in common: Luke Bryan has played his music in all of their iconic homes.

“Wrigley Field! Saturday night! What a dream come true. This is a night I’ll never forget,” Bryan told the sold-out crowd from the stage about halfway into his set. COUNTRY MUSIC“Because of you guys, I’ve had the opportunity to sell out Soldier Field, the United Center and now, Wrigley Field.”

It was Bryan’s first time playing the baseball field. But in October 2015, he played two nights at the United Center, the home of the Chicago’s Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks. And in 2014, Bryan played the Chicago Bear’s football stadium for 60,000 people, breaking attendance records previously set by Taylor Swift and Kenny Chesney.
